My mom covered my dad in her policy from 2015. She was assisted with no problems at all. My parents were traditionally married (lobola). My dad passed away on the 4th of August. My mom submitted a claim form and it was declined because my dad was legally married to someone esle (His final Decree of Divorce was given in June 2020, bu the Dept of Home Affairs hadn't changed it at the time of his death)
Nonetheless, my mom and I went to Old Mutual Tzaneen in 2019, to go and change my dad from a spouse to extended member( seeing that it might affect her claim) and the consultant told her it wasn't necessary to change and they'd pay out regardless of the status of his other marriage.
Today, you guys are giving us the run the around, asking for documents with my dad's signature. Declining because he was not staying with us. We took care of our dad for yes even after he moved out.
My question is he was already legally married in 2015 when my mom joined him in.,Why didn't you question that? Are you not tired of *****ing people's money. We want our claim. We had to borrow money to bury my father. My brother needs to go to school. Are you not ashamed of how ******* your establishment has become. Maybe we should've also taken our father's corpse to your branch for you to clearly understand. Do what's right!!!!! Either you give back our monthly premiums from 2015, give us our claim or we meet in court. You're a bad company
