Claim at old mutual that is denied
I have an investment at oldmutual opened 2004 amount insured R140 00,at old mutual. I claimed in 2024/03/ not sure specific date.
Went to their offices was shown investment active, but could not tel the amounts. Was convinced. By them to open bank account for old mutual to pay me it's much convinient. This was said by them to Me, I rufused to open account with them. The sent me reference nos, indicating they are processing the claim. I called and was asked to wait as they are busy processing the claim. After sometime waiting I called and they said they can't trace as they don't have records and the policy was closed long time ago. Whilst I saw it on the system. K M

03 May 2024, 15:12I would like to Indicate that, I visited old mutual East london Branch oxfor today as per request, upon my visit I met with Branch manager, she assisted Me well.
What I noted is she was shocked that I have not been paid, but alluded that clairims for deceased do take a while. She also mentioned that there are 2 investments that are there by old mutual, she sees on the system.
She promised that they would try and speed up.the process as it has been escalated. Atleast I felt some relief after such an ordeal.
