Cancelled Retirement Plan - Denied access to my money

I have a retirement plan which I cancelled with Old Mutual about 2 years ago if not longer. No debit order is deducting anymore. I spoke to one agent a while ago and one recently who denied me of my funds being released.

I have X amount invested which I am aware with any investment a penalty fee will apply. This is not even alot of money but yet you deny me of my funds which I saved up. I was told I need to wait until my retirement age for the funds to be released.

So I basically need to wait for more than 30 years to get access to this little money.

If this is the type of customer service you get for money which I saved up. Then I will not be doing business with Old Mutual again.
