Old Mutual

My late brother was employed at Athabaskan ya Batswana which is situated in the South of Johannesburg. He had a pension fund policy with Old Mutual, he passed away in 2014, we lodged a claim for the pay out. The company worked well with us, they introduced a broker named Sechaba Bolofo to us who looked very honest and had the family's best interest at heart. We were told that the claim will be paid out to my late grandmother since there wasn't a beneficiary, we all agreed to that. My grandmother passed away in 2015, the money wasn't paid out. I did a follow up on which a consultant at Ikd Mutual told me that I should email them my grandmothers death certificate, I comp****. I was then told that the money will be paid out to me and my older brother since my grandmother is no more. We submitted all documents, then it was silent for months. I contacted old mutual, they told me that the broker had not submitted a document from the employer and therefore they can't process the claim. I contacted him to no avail. I contacted the HR manager at Thaba ya Batswana by the name of Esther Baylis, she gave me attitude and told me that they have a broker which they hired to handle such matters, I explained to her that I can't get hold of the broker, she called the broker in my presence and he denied me ever making contact with him. They promised that everything will be sorted out, but the promise was broken. I decided to contact Sechaba in November 2016, luckily he answered the phone and told me that the Stakeholders have signed the documents and he has them with him, I should just email him our recent banking details. He then made mention that he is going to charge us 10% if the payout because he doesn't do this for free. He would have done it for free because my grandmother was old, I then said ok. After doing a research I discovered that a broker doesn't get paid by us, I then wrote to Old Mutual on tweeter. He found about the tweet and texted me saying he won't be helping me anymore because I have all of this figured out, he called me a few minutes later asking about the tweet i then explained the reasons. He said he will think about forgiving me but it's not a guarantee, I apologized for exercising my right as a consumer of which I'm not sure why I did till today. I tried calling him most of the past December, he didn't pick up. Old Mutual complaints department has been emailing the same email suggesting that I should get hold of the broker and the employer, it doesn't make sense to me because that was the first thing I tried doing for the past 2 years. Even their employees at the pension fund department confirmed that thus HR manager is rude. Ive exhausted all my options with regards to this matter. I don't know what to do anymore, can someone kindly assist me.
