Breach of contract

I'm writing this review on behalf of my father who is not so clued up about his rights as a consumer. He app**** for a loan on 15 December 2016. He signed a separate contract that his first instalment will only be on 27 january 2017. On thr 20 december 2016 the instalment went off. Because he was on holiday he could not come at the time to query this. He came back on the 9th of January and went to old mutual in khayelitsha mall. They told him they can see the error but needed manager approval to reverse. He was in a hurry so he told them to call him once they speak to the manager. Gcobisa called him back the Tuesday and asked him to come and fill in a refund form. He explained that he works far from khayelitsha and he did not want to ask to leave early as he just started work. Gcobisa agreed that he could come the saturday on 14 January and he did. When he got there they told him they were sorry and that the policy had somehow changed and he should not look at that contract as its no longer valid. They told him there is nothing they can do. He came back and i asked him to call ombudsman and they requested a repudiation letter which he called and asked them for. They asked him to come back to old mutual again and they told him they will investigate omce again and that Candice from collections at the heae office had already gone home.

Why did you waste an old man's time telling him to go there and there only to tell him sorry there is nothing you can do. If that is the same response that he will get from this post then please write all of that in the repudiation letter and email it to me. We will take this further. If you cannot honour your side of the contract then pls have that in writing.
