Bad investment

I am so shocked at the service from old mutual. More than 4 years ago I asked for a good plan to invest a lump sum of R10000. I trusted the advisor. Now after more than 4 years my investment has only grown by R2000, so I wanted to get my money back. But they want to charge me nearly R2000 in penalties for early termination. And they won't do it unless I give them my marriage certificate! How useless!
