Any Excuse

<p>To cut a long story short, the assessor from Old Mutual Insurance didnt want to pay a burst tyre on my car, which haapened the day after i got it back from the panel beaters due to being in an accident with a blue light brigade! He said that it wasnt from the accident! i then went to a TYRE shop and got a report from them which stated that the problem did in fact arrise from the accident! after getting the report to the assessor, he then still refused to pay, as he now said that i had been driving the car for the 3 months since the accident, although my car was parked in the gararge as it was basically undrivable and we were waiting for parts to arrive from overseas for the panelbeaters to do the repairs! we then got proof that the car hadnt been driven in the last 3 months and i was not lying when i said that i was using another car which is accused me of! he then after getting caught out yet again, only agreed to pay out 50% of tyre cost! So please be very careful when wanting to use OLD MUTUAL as their assessors will look for any excuse not to pay out and even accuse you of lying about things!</p>
