Ambulance not provided

<p>I have a greenlight policy with old mutual and last year i had an ectopic pregnancy and had to rush to hospital and i asked my husband to phone old mutual and he phoned them and spoke to lady on duty that time,she asked him for my Id number and by that time i was in pain .The lady checked and confirmed that my policy was active and she said she will call the ambulance and she did,withing 30 min or so the ambulance was at the gate.The paramedics asked me if i had a medical aid and i said no,then they said that they could not help me or take me to hospital ,at that moment the pain was getting worse and worse .The paramedics left and i tried to get up on the bed and i fainted and blacked out ,then my husband resusitated me and rushed me hospital with his car .i had fever and ,in pain and couldnt see anything i could only hear voices but couldnt see a thing. When we get to hospital the doctor checked me and she recommended that i be taken to a public hospital and said if i did not arrive at the hospital at that time i would have died because i was bleeding internally and needed urgent surgery . </p> <p> </p> <p>I them paid R1800 for the netcare ambulance to take me to Steve Biko hospital.</p> <p>I pay a premium month</p> <p>ly but did not get any assistance from Old Mutual.</p>
