A heart attack-inducing year long wait for an Old Mutual repudiation or cover

My son M. Lehobo passed on last year March. A claim was submitted to Old Mutual and I have been waiting ever since for a payout or repudiation but all I get are promises from employees to managers with no progress at all. Albertina *** was the person I spoke to most frequently.

What is very stressful is that my son has 2 minor children who will majorly depend on this payout for their upkeep and schooling. One of them just got her matric results and may have to sit 2021 out as I simply cannot afford her fees with my pension. At some point a manager promised that an interim payment would be made out for the children while the claim was being finalised which never happened.

I had a heart attack last week and am now in hospital and am having an angiogram today. I am very anxious about the upkeep and education of my grandchildren. Old Mutual couldn't care less.

All I need is for either a repudiation or a payout...is that too much to ask after a year of spending money that I do not have on countless phone calls? I cannot even seek legal advice as the claim has not been repudiated.
