So my dad died died in 2020 and had a retirement annuity with old mutual. After years of going up and down with us giving us a hard time to claim his money they finaly paid last week after another unnecessary process thst required my mother to send and email for an option, mind you my mother was born before technology she is not an email person🖐️so from R215 000 she only received R137000 and they deducted R77000 for taxes. What level of craziness is this, imagine if there were small kids who are orphaned, I'm trying to understand the logic of *****ing so much from frm berieved. How much percentage is tax in South Africa, are we getting taxed nt Old Mutual and Sars also.This is rediculous review this claim and pay my mother what is due to her.
