Absolute WORST experience with a bakery YET!

Unfortunately my experience with Oh My Cake is not the best - and that is being diplomatic about it. One of their signature cakes and a macaroon tower was ordered for a certain date. Not one of my messages to the bakery was answered throughout the process. I paid an arm and a leg for both.

I had to stipulate the date I needed the cake for delivery - which I had to pay extra for. The day before delivery I tried to contact the bakery to find out how to go about freezing / keeping the cake and macaroons cold before the function - with no answer.

The same morning I got a call from someone at the bakery (the first communication from them) confirming delivery for the specified date.

On the delivery date, I was phoned only to let me know that there was load shedding & they will only be able to deliver the next day. I told them that my function was the next day, so that will not work. They then told me that they will deliver on the delivery date but after 21:00.

I waited until 21h45 before calling them a few times, with NO ANSWER.

The driver contacted me the next morning and told me that he will deliver before 08h00. He too was late and only delivered after 09h00.

Not only was that the terrible service I received, but the macaroon tower looked nothing like the picture on the website, 3 of the macaroons fell off and was broken and in crumbles. The icing of the cake was almost 3cm thick and the cake dry.

Worst bakery experience ever - and I am never one to complain!
