Worst day every from Ocean basket - normally an experience we cherish

On Friday 08 December 2023, we purchased at Ocean Basket 3 takeaway meals, while waiting 2 Coldrinks and small starter. One of the meals was a "Bite of the Ocean" option which had as a side portion the requested stir fry vegetable's. The order was collected at 17:00 in the afternoon while waiting at the restaurant.

On opening the takeaway meals on arriving home 15 minutes later we were horrified to find a mature blue/green fly crawling out from underneath the fish portion of the meal, which had been included in the vegetable stir-fry.

Unfortunately, if this had been the only incident with Ocean basket for the day, we could chalk it up to once off event however in the earlier part of the day a family member attended the Ocean in Eastgate for lunch and received Hake special where the fish was mostly raw.

It is just very unfortunate that the quality of our recent service has gone below any acceptable level of food service, and we felt it best to not retract quietly as a customer without bring this severe failure to your attention.
