Turning a slightly unpleasant experience around totally

Ordered kiddie meal take-away from one branch which was picked up on way to holiday and boxes only opened a while later. Then it was found that the fish was there, but no chips/rice added (so some kids went a bit hungry!) However upon phoning the branch and highlighting this they promised to phone back which they never did. A week later I posted on their feedback page to just mention the scenario and the very next day someone from head office contacted me. They have since refunded more than what the total meal was worth as a gesture (it was never about the chips but about the branch not phoning me back as promised). This was more than what was expected of them, well done!
