TERRIBLE FOOD

<p>Yesterday, 31 May 2016 was my 8th anniversary to my husband and we wanted to celebrate this occassion with a special dinner. My husband choose Ocean Basket as he is a ***** of sea food and Ocean Basket's food was always fantastic and not uncostly. We decided to eat at Ocean Basket Wonderboon Junction as the service there was always good but this was a terrible choice and I was so dissapointed and they spoilt our special anniversary totally for us. My husband ordered the prawn special with rice as side dish and I ordered 300g kingklip with chips. What a big dissapointment. My chips was still hard and was not long enough and properly fried but I kept quiet not to spoil our evening. My husband on the other hand give me a taste of his rice and it was terrible. It was not properly cooked still hard and uneatable. We called the server to inform the chef and the manager came to our table apologising. I requested him to taste the rice but he informed us that he already had a taste and his instruction was not to serve this rice to customers but yet they proceeded to serve. In my view it was the managers duty to check if this was thrown away and not served. Not sure what went wrong as it was the first time we ever had such terrible experience by Ocean Basket Wonderboom Junction, it never happened and we eat at Ocean Basket (various branches) quick often. Now they spoilt a very special occassion that we celebrated and I will have to re-think if I want to go back to Ocean Baset Wonderboom. I do not mind to pay for food but then your quality must be good. Does the chef not taste his food before it is served to Customers? If you as a chef cannot taste your food then something must be wrong and this can damage a good restaurant's name. I am very dissapointed with Ocean Basket Wonderboom Junction for spoiling my special evening. The manager replaced the rice with a salad but the harm was done.</p>
