Slow service outside of peak hours

On Sunday 7 May 2023, I went to the Ocean Basket in Hartenbos with some friends.

We arrived there at 15h00, therefore after the lunch hour rush, and the place was not particularly busy. We had ordered drinks and one portion of oysters to share as a starter. The drinks came quickly, although we waited almost 45 minutes for the oysters, with us receiving an excuse that there is only one person behind the oyster bar. Once we have placed our order for mains, it took more than an hour for the food to come, and we left the restaurant more than 2 hours after we arrived there... I would understand it if the place was packed, but it was really not that busy.

I am not sure if this is a matter of normal service outside of the tourism busy season, considering that Hartenbos is mainly a tourism town? To add hereto, I have been visiting Hartenbos from Cape Town during this time, and am used to much better service at the establishments in Cape Town, therefore, I would think twice before visiting this specific Ocean Basket again when I am in the Hartenbos area in future.
