Poor food quality served and managerial response.
On Sunday 2 February my family and I decided to go for supper at Ocean Basket at Blue Route Mall. Upon arrival we were received with a friendly welcome from the attendants as well as the waiter who was quick with taking our orders and bringing our food. Usually they serve rolls/bread as an appetizer; these were so hard that the butter knife could not cut through it. Then our platter was served. The Calamari was like biting into a carrot. The fish was dry and over cooked. Usually the lemon butter covers the bottom of the whole platter but it there was only butter on the mussels which made meal even more dry.
I requested that the manager please come to the table and to have a look at the food we were served. His response was that the rolls was in the microwave too long. Angelfish is suppose to be dry and maybe the Calamari was a little over cooked. He then asked what can he do about this but his body language and attitude was actually asking do you want another meal. "Ya right, if this is the meal I'm paying for what will the quality of the free meal be" is what I thought at that moment. I responded by saying that I am informing him about the meal we were served as this is what they serve their customer and it is a reflection of how they feel about customer service. His response was OK and he left.
