Ocean Basket treatment

Good Morning,

So yesterday 27/09/2020 my husband and i decided to enjoy some OB in Camps bay. What a freaken disaster. we get greeter by a very rude waiter at the door. i asked her if there are no tables available to sit outside in the sun. which she abruptly says no. i notice a vacant space between 2 table but she still insists that theres nothing available and insists that we get a sit inside, which we obviously had to do in the end, getting a window seat. After a few mins i notice a white couple coming and they obviously asked the same waiter that told us that theres no seating available outside the same question. to which i notice she hurriedly fetches a table from inside and puts it outside to accommodate their request .....but wasnt able to accommodate us. IS IT BECAUSE WE ARE COLOURED. i was furious and fuming because of the treatment we received. we then requested to see the manager and voiced our disgust!!!! he apologized and requested we stay and enjoy our meal. he told us that as soon as a table becomes available he will make sure we get seated outside. we had to wait about 20mins for our table, we were obviously allocated another waitor, we then ordered our meals ...which also wasnt up to standard. it was cold...rice, chips...my husband sent his food back to be heated i ate mine because i didnt want to moan about that as well. we never saw the manage again and didnt even get an apology from the waiter. i cannot believe what actually happened....in the day and age in SA how do we still get treated like 2nd class citizens!!!!! i made it clear to the manager (President) that i was disgusted and that we are also a paying patron as the white couple and should be therefore be treated equally. when i got home i was still upset and my kids could see it!!! This was actually the 1st time i experienced something like this...it might be something small somebody else but to me it clearly wasnt! if i could give it a minus on the rating i would!! if somebody wants to contact me from Ocean Basket ...mobile ***
