Ocean Basket staff tried to ***** my car keys

I was at the Ocean Basket in Loch Logan Waterfront today for lunch. I ordered the prawn special and a glass of wine (rose). I was busy with flight bookings, online payments and online purchases. The lemon butter was so white it didn't look like the normal lemon butter I normally order and it tasted horrible. But that I was willing to let slide till the following happened. When I got up, I forgot to take my car keys. I left them on the table. I went to another store and while paying at the till I realized I don't have them. I ran back to the restaurant and asked the waitresses if she'd seen them she said no and called the manager. I asked him to check the cameras and call me if they find them while I go back to the store to check if I dropped them there. Nothing. On my way back to Ocean Basket, I retraced my steps, I spoke to the manager who insisted that maybe I stopped somewhere else before coming into the restaurant and I told him after parking, I went straight there. He continued to persuade me that there was nothing on the cameras and I asked to see the footage. He kept showing me angles which weren't clear and insisted that I took the keys. I asked him to fast forward to the part where I get up and guess what as I walk off I have ONLY my wallet and keys. The next person to touch my table was a guy cleaning my table. He neatly wrapped my keys in the wrapping paper and pretended to throw it away on the trash can. At this point I'm fuming, I'm panicking, as my whole life (house keys, laptop and cash is in the car) I told the manager we Wil go through the trash one by one to look them. Then out of the blue, one the employees comes from the back with my car keys and says they found them in the trash outside. Meanwhile the trash inside is not even full. I'm disappointed at Ocean Basket, the employees proved to be ********* and even the assistance to help me was terrible. I'm so traumatized by the experience. I hope they never get to do this to anyone else. Especially women.
