Ocean Basket Ruins Valentines
So my sister's family and my family decided that for Valentines day we wanted to spend the afternoon with our parents as due to covid they have been under house arrest with no visitors except for the occasional pop in from us. So because it was Valentines Day we told our mum not to cook and that we will order food via Mr D. We all decided we wanted seafood so we went with Ocean Basket. At quarter past four we placed our exuberant order of R 1600.00 which was a one hour wait. After the hour we checked back with Mr D as we wanted to know whats happening with our order. They rep**** that they did not know either because the restaurant was not answering their calls, so they asked me to wait for 15 min whilst they check and phone me back.So after 30 mins Mr D phoned me back and said to me that they still could not get through to the restaurant and they have sent a driver to find out whats the delay.in 15 mins i receive another call stating that the driver has been down to the restaurant and they have said there is another 40 min wait.At that point we were so ****ed off that we told them to cancel the order. We than tried to contact the restaurant ourselves thinking that it was a mess up with Mr D, but that was to no avail. We tried multiple times and no one picked up. We thereafter had to leave my parents house due to covid regulations. Absolutely most pathetic service from Ocean Basket, especially on a day that you were supposed to perform at your best. Ruined our Valentines day supper.
