Ocean Basket Cradlestone mall HEALTH HAZARD

<p>DISGUSTING PLACE AND A HEALTH HAZARD! A 1 star review isn't even worth it.</p> <p>The health inspector and Ocean Basket Cape Town Head Office/ Ocean Basket Head Office need to step in and close this place down for good, before they poison or God forbid even **** someone.</p> <p>Tonight I was served ROTTEN salmon sushi, unknowingly ingested a large chunk of sashimi, until I noticed a fowl taste and smell through the wasabi and soy sauce, already too late! We checked ALL OF THE FISH (SALMON) ON THE PLATTER WAS ROTTEN! which is not only a major health risk It's an issue of cleanliness and quality at this establishment!!! After reporting it to the waitress the geriatric manager took his time chatting to other staff and before attending to our problem, he then became very disrespectful and agressive towards our table, because he mistakenly thought we used profanity (as far as I know the word "Fish" is not a profanity, I suggest hearing-aids and even if I were to use any sort of profanity it would have been out of utter disgust, I'd like to see you eat that ROTTEN fish and react as calmly as I did ), No customer service at all, No apology for serving ROTTEN salmon and then turned his back on the complaint unwilling to resolve the issue, HIS JOB IS REALLY NOT THAT HARD!!! My opinion is he is unqualified for a managerial position, well any position that requires customer service. You don't treat customers like this</p> <p>Still no effort was made to rectify this, I then had to ask for the owner who was sitting in the corner playing on her phone, not made aware of this by her "Manager" (personally, if this were my establishment I would want to be first point of contact for something of this severity) not even a concern was shown, according to her the salmon came in today, the fault must lie with the supplier?? OWN UP TO IT! DON'T SHIFT THE BLAME! THE FOOD WAS PREPARED AND SERVED AT Ocean Basket, Cradlestone, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THE FOOD IS OF ACCEPTABLE QUALITY AND SAFE FOR CONSUMPTION!!!! IS THERE NO QUALITY CONTROL?? IS IT TOO MUCH EFFORT FOR CHEF/MANAGER/OWNER/ANYONE TO CHECK THE FOOD BEFORE SERVING??? MAYBE TRY SOME TRAINING OR EMPLOYING QUALIFIED STAFF. </p>
