Ocean Basket Cigarette ordeal

I went to Ocean Basket with my three kids aged 6, 4 and 1 in my hometown Mafikeng today and I was shocked. It’s either the restaurant doesn’t have a designated smoking area or the manager just doesn’t know or care what is a smoking area. I was seated on a table outside as I felt we needed proper ventilation. As we were eating another customer came and sat opposite our table and started smoking. I immediately called our waiter to alert her to this and she said there was nothing she could do. By this time my hubby was standing outside with the kids that we should go home. I requested to see the manager and that too was a mission until I went to the kitchen window to ask for the manager. I explained the situation to her and to my shock she told me to come sit inside as the outside tables were a smoking area. I asked why I was seated there with no warning or anything and got no answer. I asked why I had to be the one moving when I am not the inconveniencing party and got no answer. I asked for the smoking area sign and got no answer. This is actually ******* that during covid times we are being forced to share spaces with smokers when it’s even ******* to run a restaurant without a designated smoking area. The worst part is that no one was willing to give me any contacts for their head office.
