Ocean Basket Brooklyn just a disappointment altogether

We usually can't afford to eat out, so on the rare occasion that we do... we go to Ocean Basket because my wife and daughter love prawns. Usually to Centurion Saxby where we've always had great food and service. On our first visit to the Brooklyn Mall we weren't expecting Ocean Basket to sabotage our entire evening. Menus took twice as long as the drinks. My wife had to ask three times for a slice of lemon in her Savanna. Sushi was mediocre. The prawns were raw. As in clear like jelly still. The manager agreed and replaced the meal, but was largely indifferent and offered neither apology nor courtesy call at any point thereafter. Just basic etiquette. Both ladies were feeling so put off fish after that, that they actually couldn't eat the replacement meal. They were both ill, really. Because raw prawns. And having to ask for another slice of lemon. So we called off the rest of dinner and the movies we had planned. Only to observe another simple absence of basic training when the waitress made off with the change. It was not offered as a tip after our experience, just accepted as such. It's just a standard... bring back the change, claim what remains when the table leaves. It really just was indefference all around. Kitchen's meal. Aloof manager. Complacent service You didn't actually try to ruin our evening, but you did. I doubt anyone there even noticed our overall glum departure.
