Ocean Basket Brookes Pavilion Port Elizabeth

I am a VIP Card holder at this restaurant. My late wife and I and eaten there numerous times in the past. At 6 times a month. This year I was given a VIP Card. After 8 meals you receive a platter for 1. Decided to take a friend today and according to the requirements on the card one must spend R200 or more on to get this card signed. I got the platte for 1 free today but still spent R200 which qualifies me for the new card to be signed. However the waiter and manager said that the owner would not allow the card to be signed because of the free platter. There is no condition on the card supporting this. On the card is the following: "Spend R200 or more, get this card signed 8 times. Once completed enjoy a complementary platter for 1." I pointed this out but the owner and manager still refused to sign the card. After a short discussion with the manager I got nowhere. I think that this is very bad and believe that this specific Ocean Basket makes up rules as they go along and do not meet there obligations. I will certainly not entertain friends and family there anymore and if asked will not recommend them. My guest was rather shocked today.
