Food & Service issues
Atmosphere I went to Ocean basket Muizenberg to celebrate my father's birthday on Sunday, 13 February 2022. We got seated, and there was a massive draft over us. We asked the female manager if we could close it, and she responded that no, the guest sitting by the window had asked for it to be open. We politely waited until they had left, as it seemed as if they were finishing up before we asked them again. We asked them again then got told NO in some sort of an attitude due to ventilation, yet where many other windows to open. As soon as the managers started getting cold, they closed the window. Food: We had order sushi and a full deck platter. Our food came some the calamari was raw, and some were highly rubbery. We received about 6 msucles for the entire platter. We reported it and got told our kitchen is extremely busy, which tends to happen. How can this be an excuse for a restaurant recovering after COVID? The manager tried to brush us off as if we weren't paying guests. No apology for what had happened, purely attitude. The table next to us had also complained. The guest asked the female manager for her name, and she shouted, it's none of your business and walked away. Your guest should not be treated this way. After all, we are paying for a service. Your staff couldn't even explain how the Cajun dishes are prepared
