Disgusting

<p>Lastnight my husband and i and our 3 kids ages 6,7 and 1 decided to have a late supper at Ocean basket canal walk Century City. The waiter sat us down and suggested we take the family platter for four of R325. We specifically advise no we want the platter for two of R275 as we know our kids wont eat as much because they were tired and it was late already. It was basically just a family treat. So the after waiting quite some time our food finally arrives and naturally we start eating. Our remember during our meal my husband and i were saying how much food it is and anyway when we were done we asked the waiter to put it in a doggy bag, which he did and we also requested the bill. When the bill came and we saw it, we got the shock of our life R499!!! Ofcourse immediately we call the waiter and ask him about this bill something must of went wrong and then he starts to argue with us saying we ordered a R499 platter!! I mean seriously at that time of the night, with our kids and never ever would i even spend so much. We wanted just a small treat and we had no idea we were eating off a R499 platter. We havent been to OCEAN BASKET in ages. I am completely appalled and disgusted. I will be making this known to everyone and i will never eat there again. To make things worse after argueing with this waiter and him going back and forth to manager and us refusing to pay that amount, he says well how much are we going to pay and we pay what we thought our bill would be R275, we gave him a R300. He takes our doggy bag puts it behind the counter and leaves. By now we are so embarrassed, everyone looking at us and the waiter and his colleges and manager just stares us off like we are sone *********. At that point i was just so embarrassed that we just upped and left.</p>
