Bad Service

Decided to celebrate my wedding anniversary at Ocean Basket Vangate Mall in Cape Town as both my husband and I are absolute *****s of seafood. It was our first time going to Vangate Mall branch as we normally go to Claremont branch, but due to time restraints we went to Vangate Mall branch.

Firstly as we entered no one to assist or take us to seating, that was all good we could live with that. Then we sat for over 15min before a waiter attending to us, let me mention that the waiter did not come to us out of her own, she came to us after we called her and informed her that we are awaiting someone to assist us. Waiter said she is just helping another table and that will return. Another 5min pass and she don't come back. Eventually 20min later with no one attending to us, i told my husband that we should just leave and go get something fast like Mc Donalds or so as time is not on our side and we fairly hungry. My husband said no he will go and call someone, he did and the same lady came to assist us. This waitress was so rude, no smile, no apology for letting us wait, no manager came to apologies or check if we ohk. To make matters worst, she takes down the wrong order, we requested Fanta Orange and Coke and she brought the wrong cooldrinks. Instead of taking the drinks back we had a back and forth conversation with the waitress as to who was wrong, she was trying to convince us that myself and my husband placed the order it was not her mistake.

What should have been a pleasant evening with my husband celebrating our anniversary turned out to be the most miserable day ever.
