Bad food, bad quality — extremely disappointing experience
Yesterday, I ordered a Platter for 1 from Ocean Basket Fourways Mall through Uber Eats. The meal cost over R200, and to say I’m disappointed would be an understatement. Close to 80% of the food was burnt, soggy, and simply not edible. I could barely eat 20% of what was delivered, which is completely unacceptable for the price paid. I submitted a review on Uber Eats, but I feel it’s important to express just how frustrating and disappointing this experience was. I order from Ocean Basket often, and I’ve always expected a certain standard—especially when it comes to seafood, which must be handled with care. Yesterday’s meal felt rushed, careless, and definitely not prepared with the love or quality Ocean Basket claims to stand for. Spending over R200 only to throw most of the food away is honestly ridiculous. As a loyal customer, I feel let down by both the quality of the food and the lack of attention that went into preparing it. This experience was a complete waste of money.
