Absolutely poor service!!
Utterly disappointed and frankly disgusted by the overall lack of service!
We visited the Ocean Basket Plumstead restaurant on Friday 04.11.2022 to have a family dinner. We arrive to no welcome and nobody was available to seat us. After seating ourselves we waited 20 mins to receive a menu. We placed our drink orders and waited 15mins for them to arrive. We then requested a glass, which took additional 25mins to arrive (our daughter waited to have something drink). We were ready to order and decided on the family platter and a hake and calamari combo however we were told that the store had run out of hake and that we could replace the hake on the family platter with Sole or Kingklip at an additional cost – utterly ridiculous.
1 hour and 45 minutes later, after chatting to the manager Keagan on 2 occasions we received our food order….and what an utter disgrace. Besides the order being incorrect, besides the excessive waiting time (which was not communicated) besides the managers consistent excuses our order was received incorrectly and the kingklip was raw.
No compensation from the establishment of the grossly poor experience. We paid our bill of just under R900.
We were subsequently provided with the ‘branch managers’ (Reece) number who has not answered his phone to date. We have had to call the branch once again to get an alternative number for Reece, to no avail. We were advised to call back when his in store…what a joke.
I have asked for the franchise owners contact details, which none of the staff including the manager knows or is able to provide – a ‘Mr Schoeman’
