Very disappointing experience at Ocean Basket Platterkloof Village

Very disappointing experience at Ocean Basket Platterkloof last night.

We had a reservation for 6 pm (made in advance), yet we sat for over an hour and a half without proper service. Not even the standard bread was brought to our table. We placed our food order at the same time as our drinks—so there was no excuse for confusion or delay.

To make matters worse, my drink glass literally had a hole in the bottom. The entire drink poured out as I tried to take a sip!

We had a 5-year-old with us, and despite my specifically asking the manager about the long delay, her meal never even made it to the table.

All around, the service was inattentive and disorganized. This was supposed to be a simple family dinner, but it turned into an extremely frustrating and disappointing evening.

We won’t be back.
