OCE Motors - Where Stress instead of vehicles is sold.

Ever had to catch 3 taxis to go to work (just over a month after buying your vehicle) and on your way to work(in the second taxi even), you still saw a debit order deduction from your bank and insurance broker... but you don’t have the car with you because it’s in repairs... Well, I bought my car at OCE motors and that’s exactly what happened to me. But please, allow me to break it down for you.

About 2 months ago, on a nice sunny Saturday afternoon, I signed all the papers I had to sign and from there, I was a proud owner of my first car. After working so hard for years and finally being able to buy a my first vehicle, trust me, I was the happiest dude on the planet!..Until.. the next Monday ****erally 2 days, okay to be fair, 43 hours after buying the car) the car did not want to start, my heart SANK at that moment. I tried starting it a lot of times but still nothing.. and what was super embarrassing was that my neighbors (who congratulated me on my purchase just the previous day) saw me pushing the vehicle out the gate, trying to get it to start.. terrible feeling.. I don’t wish that on anyone.. Anyway I observed the vehicle only to find out that the battery connector wasn’t tightened properly so I placed a small stone on top of the battery just to keep it intact until I could find someone who could assist. But when I think of it now, as embarrassing as it was to push my vehicle out the gate while the neighbors were watching, I’m glad it happened then because it could’ve happened as i was on the road at a certain speed, and maybe I wouldn’t be alive to write this. The battery connection issue was fixed and I thought “wheew” at least it wasn’t anything major ,but, little did I know what was in store for me..

Weeks went by and I started noticing MANY defects regarding the vehicle, the lights didn’t work, the sunroof started giving me problems, the sunroof curtain broke in a matter of weeks after buying the vehicle, the vehicle started over heating after driving it for over 45 minutes and those are not even half the problems I tell you.

On one Saturday, 3 weeks after the purchase, I decided to take my girlfriend out to a nature reserve in Krugersdorp with the vehicle. The roads of course were uneven and dusty (it’s a nature reserve I mean come on) and as we were in the dusty road, we noticed that there was a lot dust from the road coming in from ‘we don’t know where’ because everything door was shut, sunroof closed and the aircons shut as well. The whole car inside was filled with dust, it was clear that the vehicle had an opening somewhere that allowed SO MUCH dust to come in and here’s the unfortunate part, I’m allergic to such dust. My throat swelled up, the beautiful ended briefly, had to go to the hospital and I missed work for a couple of days. (Safety concern)

So I’m here today with the car, nearly on my third months, having spent a lot of my own money trying to get it repaired, funny thing is, it’s going in for repairs again tomorrow. Clutch problems, acceleration problems, funny noises coming from the engine, you name it, I’ve got it.

I took matters into my own hands because I’ve really lost all faith in that dealership.

Here’s the BEST part of it all, however, for legal reasons, I can’t say that this is tied to OCE motors but hey, you can add two and two for yourself.. After submitting my documents (bank statement, ID copy, etc) to OCE motors for financing, literally a week after, I’ve been noticing ********** activity on my behalf. Unauthorized purchases were made on my various credit accounts, my cellphone number was ******, sim swapped to a new unknown user, and numerous unknown debit orders reflecting on my bank account.. I reported it to the police and that is still underway as I write. I really had to mention that.

So in ending, be very careful when buying your vehicle. Observe everything to T. Don’t be like me. I’m not saying don’t buy your vehicle at OCE motors, I’m just saying, read my story first and then make your decision. Peace be unto you reader.
