I requested insurance valuations on 4 items of jewellery. First problem was a failure to provide a receipt for the goods (R100 000 odd) when told to go away and wait an hour. The receipt was provided when I demanded one.<br> The valuation cost R600.00 so was not cheap. The pearl necklace with 94 pearls was valued based on pearls of 7 to 7.5mm. One of the diamond rings was valued based on it being approximately 4.5 carat. The pearls are in fact 9 to 9.5mm in diameter, and the diamond is 5.7carat (This per previous valuations and the original purchase documents).<br> As I only found the errors after getting home, I was forced to return. After some denial, the gentlemsn amended the valuation on the ring by nearly 50% up, but claimed the pearls are not worth any more despite the size error, and suggested he would show me on \GOOGLE". At that point it was clear that this is an unprofessional organization"
