OBRA LEADS ( POSSIBLY A **** / POSSIBLY JUST VERY POOR SERVICE)

I was contacted by Dave Gillard to sell me POPI approved long term insurance prospective clients on 28 Aug 2020.

After several emails back and forth, the product sold to me was 10 long term insurance prospective clients for R2300 (incl. VAT), paid on 31 Aug 2020.

On 3rd September I received a list of short term / long term prospective clients. I informed Dave that I cannot service Short term clients. All the protective clients that were listed as " long term insurance" were actually interested in medical aid policies, i.e., not long term insurance clients. I immediately informed Dave of the error on the same day.

On 9th September 2020, I received more short term insurance clients that were listed as "long term insurance clients".

On 17th September 2020, I lodged a complaint with the Admin at Obra, only to be informed that Dave has been ill and that is the reason for him not servicing me with clients. Take note at this stage I have not been provided with any long term insurance clients.

On 28th September 2020, admin supp**** me with a new batch of 'Long term clients', I kept a record of all my discussions with the prospective clients. None of the prospects was expecting a phone call, nor were they interested in long term insurance.

I relodged a complaint on 9th October 2020. I was supp**** with one Long Term Insurance prospective with a possible Zoom meeting. On contacting the client to confirm the meeting, he was not able to attend the suggested Zoom meeting. Following up with the prospective client became increasingly difficult. If anything I will give Obra the benefit of the doubt that this perspective was just being a really difficult person. I communicated to Obra that this prospective client is being difficult and that I have not managed to arrange the necessary meeting.

On 15th October 2020, I followed up with Obra on the outstanding 9 clients that I purchased from them. I received no feedback from Obra.

On 28th October 2020, I asked for a refund. No reply was received from Obra.

In summary: As an adviser, Obra and myself could have done great business. If they supp**** me with prospective clients I would have continuously made use of their services. After paying over the R2300 it became extremely difficult to get hold of Obra either by email or telephonically. If anything, before making use of their services please try and attempt to get hold of Obra telephonically ( +***8, https://www.obra.co.za/contact/ ). I am extremely disappointed in that Obra was not willing to do business with me, even more, that they just ended up "ghosting me". Please use extreme caution in the future when you consider doing business with them.
