I was recruited from South Africa to work for this company. I was made to purchase my own air ticket to get to Rwanda. None of the promises made have been kept. I was put up in an Hotel for 1 week, but needed laudry done, which would have cost me the equivalent of buying new clothes! We were then moved to a private host, we have been here since 23rd February today is 4th April, to date, the host has not been paid one cent for our stay by the company, and has rightfully asked us to buy our own electricity and gas. We are stranded at this stage as we do not have any money, since starting work on 17th February, I have received a total of RWF115000 (US$123.00). Please explain to me how I am supposed to live on this money??? The "Operations Manager" has gone home to Uganda for the lockdown period, I couldn't do this as they kept my passport until day zero and I had no money to get home. He is unreachable and his "2nd in charge" is rude and disrespectful, also tells me I have not taught enough classes to get more money...... Is this my fault if they have not either 1. fetched me to teach said classes, 2. Started classes with waiting students in order to bring money in? Would I have left my own Country to come here and be stranded with no money to live if they had been transparrent with me? NO! If the real owners of this seemingly **** company are out there, I urge you to contact your Operations Manager to get my details to contact me and rectify this. I will continue to advertise the truth about this Company until someone does something about them.
