The Oasis Organisation for the Mentally Challenged ( a non-profit organisation) at 33 LEE Road Claremont, Cape Town is not only a place of safety and work opportunity for people with intellectual disabilities or the mentally challenged community, its provides a stable work environment on a daily basis of recycling, sorting out paper, stuffing envelopes, counting and packing food graded styrofoam container for various clients. They also have an on-site bakery where they make the most amazing pastries, pies, baked bread on a daily basis for their on campus store, have a tea garden and serve tea, coffee and light snakes also on a daily basis. You can also browse the various stores for gently used items, be it in the clothing line, furniture, pictures books bothe for the young and seenagers (the not so old pensioners). All the staff and workers in the various sections are extremely happy, pleasant and are willing to go the extra mile for all clients.
