Refund of payment due to circumstances beyond our control - Oakwood Lodge Bloemfontein ur control - Oakwood Lodgeur control

I booked via Lekkeslaap for stay over at Oakwood Lodge Bloemfontein on 6 October 2024. On the morning of 2nd October 2024 the receiption of the dr(cardiologist) phoned to cancel our appointment for 7 October 2024 at 7.30. The dr will not be available to see any patients for a while. I immediatley send an e-mail to lekkeSlaap to cancel our booking with Oakwood Lodge because of circumstances beyond our control. The owner of the guest house refused to refund us. Bloemfontein is 222 km from us and as we are pensioners we needed to book over in a guesthouse for such an early appointment. I send LekkeSlaap an e-mail from the dr rooms in which they confirm the cancellation of the dr's appointment. They rep**** that the owner of the Lodge said there is enough time to see the dr because we only need to book out at 10 on the 7th of October 2024! Which dr must we see as the dr we booked with cancelled our appointment? I gave LekkeSlaap the dr' s telephone no but that did not even help. I am very unhappy with this guest house.
