unfair practices and no response

i have a fleet of uber vehicles , i am insured with lion of Africa , one of my vehicles has been in an accident , to try and get hold of my broker is impossible , finally i was told to deal with a lady named Matshiditso , with endless phone calls we finally got the car to a panel shop , as we stand the damages were assessed to be at R52000 , little did i know that this repairs will be done with generic Toyota parts , i will not allow my vehicle to be repaired with generic parts , no fleet owner takes out insurance for an item or for that matter nobody at all takes out insurance for an item and wants to be replaced for something of inferior quality .... i would take this matter up with uber as i am sure that uber wont want riders being hailed in a vehicle which is compromised . any vehicle owner wating to use oaksure as a broker , please reconsider , miway or outsurance are a tad bit more on the premiums but they handle claims more professionally and with more efficiency , please ignore these *********** outside the uber greenhub . do not insure your vehicles through oaksure or with lion of Africa . evry day without a vehicle in this business is a loss of income , my vehile should be ready by the 03/11/2018 . i would suggest the deadline be met and this matter be sorted out amicably ... please note : it is impossible to get hold of any broker at oaksure , emails do not get responded to ....

Hi Riaz, thanks for the notification. Generic parts are used on all vehicles out of warranty. The insurer is happy to replace them with new parts for you but you will be responsible for the difference as the rule of betterment would apply. Insurance is there to put you back in the same financial position you were in before the accident occurred. Replacing with new parts will put you in a better financial position as the vehicle was out of warranty at the time of the accident. The parts are not inferior, they are generic, they are just not branded. The Ombudsman has previously ruled in a case such as this and has specifically stated that the use of generic parts is acceptable. We are more than happy to request the insurer to use the new parts but as stated before you would be liable for the difference. Thanks the Oaksure team.
