Insurance ****

Hi I have a problem with Oaksure insurance. My car was in accident in March and I was hoping that the insurance I signed up with was going to help me. I reported the incident and yes they toured the car to the panel beaters. I submitted all the required documents in time but the process took long as there was a back and forth on my case which was not fair.

The kind of contract I have with this insurance is a business car insurance in which I pay R2100 monthly. According to the contract I signed, my access is supposed to be R15000 which is clearly stipulated on the contract. But to my surprise when the vehicle was ready to be collected, they informed me that in order to release the car I would have to pay R36 800 and tried to explain about additional charges which I could not understand and also that I had to be the one who should pay the panelbeaters. I feel that this insurance is a **** as there was no mention of this additional of amount on the contract I signed.

Secondly, when I first joined this insurance company there was a broker who was supposed to be a middleman when situations like these occur. But there wasn't any communication between me and my "broker". At the beginning I had a broker by the name of Eddie, and then they changed him without my knowledge that he is no longer my "broker", only had to find out before the accident and it did not stop there because I only communicated with this new "broker" on the day of the accident and then I never heard anything from him too and to assist on my case. And then a gentleman by the name of Bafana called me and informed that from now on he is going to be my broker. I only communicated with him when he was informing that he is the one who was going to take over and then afterwards there wasn't any communication at all.

In all this I have been stressed out as my vehicle was not working but paying the insurance who took so long to sort it out and on top of that I had to be the one who kept on communicating with the insurance and the panelbeaters which I find it unfair as this is supposed to be the work which should be done by the broker.

The reason I am writing this is to seek help because there is no way that I as tha consumer could pay all this amount of money for my vehicle to be fixed, the amount which is not stipulated on the contract.
