discontinued Titanium Frames

My husband chose an OAKLEY Titanium frame for his prescription glasses a number of years ago. these cost an arm and a leg but served the purpose they were intended for. The frame snapped a little while ago and we took it back to the optometrist, they advise that there is nothing that can be done about it as this frame has been discontinued! My argument is the frame is suppossed to be indestructable as its made of titanium. Weather on not the frame is discontinued has nothing to do with me as a customer. We paid a huge amount of money for these and now they are saying there is nothing that can be done. This is completely unacceptable. Another issue being if these frames have been discontinued why is it that they are still being sold and stocked? OAKLEY PLEASE DO NOT LET ME HATE YOUR BRAND DUE TO POOR OR NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!
