I initially requested a booking at Oaklands Country Manor directly through the resort but discovered that it's more expensive to book directly with the resort than it is to go through [URL Removed] (R600 difference). I booked a Junior Suite on the [URL Removed] website this morning at Oaklands for myself, possibly my husband and 2 children. The booking was accepted and confirmation sent to me. I then received a frantic call from Simon saying that he was rejecting this booking, even though I had received confirmation already. His issue was that he demanded that I book 2 rooms and pay double the money, (even though we won't make use of the second room and my husband is possibly not joining us). I am very annoyed with this disgusting attitude. Oaklands is very expensive as it is and there are other resorts in the Van Reenen area which are just as good and better value for money, such as Green Lantern right next door. So I will cancel this booking and never return again to this resort who are willing to sever ties over their greed.
