WORST SERVICE

Well, this company that I trust and thought would be on my side decided to show myself and daughter flames. My daughter was involved in an accident on the 8th of March, a truck had bumped her. The damages found on the car were that the boot could not open, the back and front bumper were cracked and the radar was leaking. The car was towed by AA, my car was taken to Danmar autobody Benoni and statement were written at the police station. Two weeks after the accident we were told by claim office at Oakhurst handling our case that statements were not made or couldn't be found at the police. We were told that we need to go to the police statement and get copies of the statements & pay a fee. We didn't understand why we were being told the above as we had a case number from the police station which we refused to do as we were being told. We told the claim officer to do her job, which she finally found the statement.

Around April the 24th, I called the auto-body to check on the progress of the car as we were not receiving any updates. I was told that all is well with the car and we can come fetch the car but the lady that was handling the claim at the auto-body made me aware that they only part of the car that was fixed was the back of the car. I was puzzled because in the statement written at the police station, we mentioned that the car had damages in the front. The auto-body called Oakhurst for them to say please tell the client to call the assessor in order for an assessment to be done on the car & to received another quote. I called the claim officer, not believing what the auto-body had told them, only for her to give me the number of the assessor. I was really angry and couldn't believe when I was told that I need to give the assessor a CALL then why do I pay for insurance if my claim office is going to telling me to do her job for her. BUT it doesn't end there!!!

On the 27th of May, I called Danmar auto-body to check how far are they with the car. Again, the claim office/handler has not given me a call in weeks to give me an update about the progress of the car. They told me that the car will be ready on Wednesday, the 29th, which put a smile on my face as my daughter was using public taxis. 3pm I receive a call from my auto-body that we are sorry to tell you this but your car has a crack underneath and cant fetch the car.

I am DISAPPOINTED that I constantly need to call both Oakhurst and Danmar auto-body about the progress of my car. I am ANGRY AND REALLY ****ED OFF that a full assessment was never done on my car. How am I supposed to trust that the services that was done on my car is of quality. I feel as if this is the WORST SERVICE from an insurance and trust & believe that my compliant about the service will not end here!!!!!!!!!

Dear Botlhale

Following a claim you submitted for an incident on 11 March 2019.  The damages to your vehicle were assessed and you were called and advised of the authorisation to your claim.
Repairs to your vehicle were rather lengthy due to the following:
  • Oakhurst has a procurement department that source parts from parts suppliers.  This is economical and does not in any way compromise the quality of repairs of your vehicle.

  • The repairer detected internal damages whilst in the process of repairing your vehicle as the vehicle was stripped.  These damages were forwarded to the insurer for authorisation as same was also accident related. As such, extra parts had to be sourced from parts suppliers.

We sincerely apologies for the lack of communication and the inconvenience caused.
We confirm that the repairs of your vehicle were completed and the repairer confirmed that the vehicle was collected on 30 My 2019.

We trust  you find the above is in order.

Regards,

Oakhurst Resolutions Team
