Worst mistake ever

The worst mistake ever was insuring with Oakhurst. As an insurance company you must first understand the circumstances causing a vehicle accident before claim rejection.Yes i was speeding as the smart device stated but understanding the reason for speeding(High risk area/Hijack avoidance) must also be taken into consideration especially if one is not intoxicated, previous driving history must also be checked. I curse the day i joined Oakhurst insurance.

Dear Isaia

We confirm that you had a claim for an accident that occurred on 8 May 2018 under your Oakhurst Agile Policy, which was declined after verification thereof.

After conducting a full investigation, it was found that the speed limit governing the stretch of road where the accident occurred is 60km/h. We confirm at the time of loss, you were driving 131km/h. As such, you exceeded the maximum speed limit on the road by 71km/h.

We submit that your actions at the time of the accident constituted recklessness. You have deliberately exposed the insured vehicle, yourself, and other road users to the dangers that go hand in hand with high speed driving.

Regrettably, taking the above into consideration we cannot fault the Insurer’s decision herein.

Regards

Oakhurst Resolutions Team
