Useless,********** Debits, Unresponsive and Unapologetic

Hi I received a call from one of the consultants, offering me scratch and dent cover and so other cover and ALSO to inform me that my premium would be reduced to an amount of approximately R1100. I remember explicitly asking him to send me the documents for the other additional covers so I could have a read through BUT NOT agreeing to it. So not only was I surprised when my account was suddenly debited with R1463.8 but this was: 1. Completely different to what was agreed on the phone with the consultant. I do not remember the exact date but I am sure you will be able to find a recording of the call. 2. I have been with AA for three years now and I have not claimed once since I have joined, however my premium has never been reviewed down. This seems to contradict what you have on your policy documents which states that: ‘’Don’t forget! Your basic excess is REDUCED after every claim free year you are insured.” In fact, my excess went up from R2400 when I joined AA three years ago to R3000 (NEVER DOWN!). 3. How do you justify a premium increase of approximately 35% from R1089 to R1464 for someone who has not claimed in three years? 4. To make matters worse. My account was debited with an additional R101.27 (bringing the total amount debited by AA from my account to R1565.08). Upon contacting your service consultants, no explanation/apology is offered as to why this occurred. And no-one will be reimbursing me for the inconvenience of an unplanned amount going off on my account. After sending them the above, no one from Oakhurst/AA has called me to address my points. Instead they send me a revised policy schedule which says that my premium is now a ‘’reduced’’ R1090.48. How is that a reduction when according to me, I was paying R1089 before? Additionally the money that was debited from my account of 1565.08 for a fictitious cover that I did not agree with, has still not been refunded. Additionally I noticed that their policy schedule now contains a separate line item called ‘AA Assistance Services’”, which in my case adds an additional charge of R151 which was never there before. Can someone explain to me what this is and why is suddenly a separate line item? I am extremely disappointed with the level of service that I received from AA. I stuck with them while they changed underwriters from Constantia to Oakhurst but Oakhurst seems to be far worse.
