****ty insurance ever and bad service

I took a car insurance with this company. Then I was involved in a minor accident that just left my car with a scratches. I did a claim of which their service was bad and it took over 3 weeks for them to register my claim I was the one who was always following up and they will promise to call and they will not call until I call them myself. I did all the procedures they said I must do. When it's time for them to approve my quotation to fix my car, they said my excess amount is over the claim amount. They claim that the damages on my car are over R30 000. That is not possible. They limited me to do the quotation in one company and then refused to pay. I will not let this slide because they are not being fair and considerate. I will advise people not to use Oakhurst they are playing with peoples life.

Dear Silindokuhle

We refer to your complaint logged on 21 August 2019, the contents of which have been noted.

Upon receipt of your complaint. An investigation was conducted, and it was found that you called on Wednesday the 07th August 2019 to report an incident.  A claim was then registered on Monday the 12th August 2019.

The claim was processed where the damages to your vehicle were assessed and the applicable excess was in accordance to the terms and conditions of your policy.

It is unfortunate that the excess that was applicable to the claim was more than the cost of damages, and the claim fell within excess.

We trust you find the above in order.

Sincerely,
Oakhurst Resolutions Team
