The worst insurance company in SA No stars is what they are

My car on Uber was in an accident on the 09/07/2016 Insured by Oakhurst I submitted my claim for the damage and my claim was prematurely declined on the basis that I didn't given true and compleat information related to the claim. Information that was not available to me at the time as an investigation by the SAPS detectives was underway. I appealed the decline on my claim on the 04/08/2016 and after another Oakhurst internal investigation as of the 23/08/2016 Oakhust has decided that SASRIA is to cover my claim. In my opinion Oakhurst is stinging me along and finding ever way possible not to cover my Claim. SASRIA is a government special risk association secondary to my primary insurance Oakhurst that covers claims related to damage due to riot or public civil related scuffles. In my opinion my claim may be indirectly related to this but there is no concrete proof of this relation and yet again Oakhurst has made a decision where my claim falls within the Oakhrust policies.
LET ME TELL EXACTLY WHY OAKHURST IS FINDING EVERY WAY POSSIBLE NOT TO PAY MY CLAIM, my car a 2015 Chevy Aveo which I bought brand new in November 2015, has damage totaling up to about R 78 700.00 the current settlement amount of my car is about R 165 000.00 upon assessing the damage Oakhurst wrote my car off not because it's a true wright off but because it falls outside the 65% risk management margin they have allocated in their budget to fix my car, in short they will loose money when they fix my car. Mind you I pay every month to be covered for loss or damage to my car and Because It Does Not make Financial Sense They Are Finding A Way Out Of Paying No Matter What, trust me I Am Going To Fight For My Consumer Rights As this Is not Right.
To all those look to Hellopeter for a reflection of what Oakhurst is about, what you see here is not a true reflection of Oakhurst's Operational principles. I say so because they personally call you to rate them on Hellopeter they even send you the link to Hellopeter for you to rate them when you say you will get to it when you find the time to do so. The ratings here are of the service provided by that specific individual you spoke to when you called them and not a True Reflection Of What They Really Are About. To Those That Read This Do Not Make The Mistake I Have Made Of Swimming With the Smaller Fish Like Oakhrust Thinking its In Line With Supporting The Smaller Insurance Companies Like Oakhurst, They Will Swallow You And Do Whatever It Takes To Grow In To Bigger Fish As They Are Doing Right Now to Me. I Currently Praying For Strength from the Above to deal with Oakhurst as its almost 2 months in to the claim and it looks like it's going to be a very very long ride.....

Dear Zandile

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We confirm that the delay to the claim was due to the incorrect statement given by the driver who was driving the insured vehicle at the time of the loss.

After your claim was investigated it was found that it would fall under the SASRIA category, which is a cover you enjoy and is included in your Oakhurst Insurance Premium.

Furthermore, we confirm that Oakhurst Insurance Company made a decision to settle your claim while waiting for feedback from SASRIA.

Yours faithfully

Oakhurst Resolutions Team
