Oakhurst insurance company is a circus! Our insurance broker is Dot Sure. They wanted to write my car off for a front bash. Leander de Jager was the assessor that assessed the quote and confirmed it! Chev Aveo 1.6 2014 model. Quote to fix my car R80 076.48. Danmar Autobody Benoni. All of you are a joke. It was a FRONT smash. They drew on my WHOLE car for supposed damage caused. Where there is CLEARLY NOTHING WRONG. PEOPLE PLEASE SHARE THIS IS *****!!!!!What a **** is this?

The content of your complaint is noted. We can assure you that there is nothing ********** in the way your claim was handled, and that it was definitely not a ****.
The market value of your vehicle on the date of loss was R 90 150-00. The quotation received from Danmar Autobody only contained the damaged front parts of your vehicle and amounted to R 80 076-18. Repair costs would thus have been 89% of the value of your vehicle.
All vehicles have a repair limit, and if the repair limit is exceeded, like in this instance, the vehicle is deemed to be uneconomical to repair. No Insurer will repair a vehicle if repair costs would amount to 89% of the market value of a vehicle.
We confirm that your claim was authorised for settlement in terms of your agreement with Oakhurst, but that you elected to cancel your claim and repair your own vehicle.
We trust that the above explanation would suffice.
