Refuse to accept claim

I have to explain from the begining.... I was retrenched in January 2015, so i emailed oakhurst to cancel my poilicy till i can work again. As i do not have extra funds.
A lady by the name of Christel emailed me my cancellation letter and to which it said my policy will expire the 28 feb.

On the 12 Feb i went to labour department, upon leaving i stopped at a red robot and got hit in the rear of my car by a idiot driver in a BMW. (whom has no insurance)!

So i put in a claim on the 13 feb with Oakhurst, as my policy only expires on the 28th.

It took them from the 13th till today (25 feb) to only tell me that my claim has been declined!!!!
I find this disturbing, and apalling as i have proof!! I am under alot of stress and pressure now as i do not have another car and i am going into labour in the nest 4 weeks or so! And thank you to Oakhurst, i may not be able to get to hospital!

I am trully happy i did cancel my policy! this is the most disgusting service i have ever recieved!! how can u not accept a claim when the policy is still valid!

I will NEVER recomend Oakhurst!
i will be getting legal advice and i hope the highest people will read this!

Hello chantzvhoff,

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We acknowledge that the cancelation letter stated that your Oakhurst policy was cancelled with effect from 28 February 2015. However, this was subject to payment of premium.

Your premium for February 2015 was not received even after two (2) attempts. The reason for the second unpaid debit order was \no authority to debit, suggesting that the debit order was either cancelled or reversed by you.
