Read the fine print or get ****** blind!!!

I left a very reputable Insurance provider to join Oakhurst - my logic: they are a bit expensive but at least the service is good. Never mind that premium increased without notice. Little did I really know much of a **** this insurance company really is. In addition to the R5500 access that was agreed to as part of my policy, I now find out about all the additional access amounts that are in the \fine print\" and get added on when you need to claim. What would have been a R5500 access amount - or so I was sold - has now equated to R16500 because I was unlucky enough not to smash into another vehicle and apparently, shouldn't move my car after 10pm. Be careful - it sounds too good to be true when you sign up and it most definitely is!!! BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!"

Good day

We apologise for the delay in responding and any dissatisfaction that you feel with regards to the settlement of the claim.

The excesses that were app**** during the claims process are as per your policy schedule. Unfortunately we cannot defray from its provisions and have to abide by it whenever we are processing a claim.

According to the provisions of your policy schedule you have a basic excess that you are liable for in the event of a claim.  There are also additional excesses that may apply depending on the nature and circumstances leading to the loss. The excesses that were app**** on your claim are as dictated by your policy schedule.

We cannot fault the insurer in the application of your policy terms and conditions and advise that the excesses will remain unchanged.

Kind regards

The Oakhurst Resolutions Team
