Pathetic 10 weeks and still no joy.

I had what can honestly be described as a minor accident on 6 February 2017. My car was collected on the 9th of February 2017 and taken to elegant square panel beaters in East London under duress but I had no say. After 10 weeks of lies, and no response to calls and people simply not giving a continental I asked to have my vehicle released as is (I will still pay) 3 and still I can not get access to my vehicle nor get it back from truly pathetic people. How can an insurance company operate by supplying the parts every time the panel beater finds another part that needs replacing? After 10 weeks I get told today that another item needs to be ordered. The radiator water bottle. That means I must allow an additional 10 days for the insurance company to source and supply the part then the panel beater time to install and find the next broken item in the chain. Not once have I received a decent report nor feedback let alone an offer of alternative transportation. I will gladly pay double monthly premiums with a reputable company in the future where a situation like this would not arise. 7 different companies have advised me that at most this should have taken 3 weeks. I will never use this company again and will never ever advise anyone to go for the cheapest quote when taking out insurance. Frustrating and pathetic.

Good day Mr Marsden
We refer to the complaint we received in our office on the 20th April 2017 regarding the service you received during your claim process.
The following was established during our investigation. The claims process was followed through correctly. There was parts sourcing involved and the delay was with the parts supplier. A paint job also had to be done by the repairer once the repairs were completed. The whole process was carried out thoroughly to ensure that we indemnify you and put you in the same position you were in before the accident.
We have confirmed with the repairer that the repairs have been completed and the insured vehicle is back in your possession.
We apologise that the process took longer than anticipated, and for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Trust the above is in order.

Glad to hear that you think 10 weeks was a reasonable time period, furthermore shocked to hear that you think this claim is as good as finalized. I was back at the panel beater today to show them the absolute shocking results of a third party assessment of the sub standard incorrect parts supp**** by you. I now realize exactly what took the panel beater 10 weeks to do. They pretty much had to take parts that were either not for my vehicle or were so poorly made and attempt to shape them to fit. The car may be back but the quality of the parts you have supp**** are shocking to say the least. I will gladly post all photos it you like. Toyota will assess the vehicle for me next week and the panel beater has already advised me to let them know when they can have another shot at trying to reach mould (my words not theirs) the bumper etc. The lights do not even fit let alone line up. Like your response to this message your attention to detail is sadly lacking and your ability to supply a decent service is only matched by your inability to supply quality parts as would be expected when repairing customers vehicles. I have no problem whatsoever with pirate parts but at least make sure that you buy ones that fit and are the correct ones for the said model. My vehicle came standard with nudge bars etc. Now I must see how you replace with total ****. Cutting out parts of grills etc to create a Frankenstein mobile. Sorry state of affairs.
