Oakhurst Write Off

Had an accident on 3rd of Nov 2018 and my vehicle is still not fixed yet. So my insurance has written off my car and they said its now code 3 vehicle. At the time of the accident the car wasn't drivable and it was towed. usually we source out quotations for the repairs and submit them to the insurance but this time Oakhurst sourced out the quotes. I realized that there was something when i asked to see the quotes they had sourced and i was only given one that was just written "Written OFF" on it and they said they had gotten it from Krugersdorp Panelbeaters. When i inquired from the PanelBeater they said my insurance had written off the car because of the Claim Settlement we had with the insurance which is a cash cash settlement. I went back to my insurance to find out if this was true, this time they said to repair the car it would cost more than the value of the car itself. I then asked from which Panel-beaters did you get such info to arrive there where the car repairs would cost more than the value of the car. They said from Krugerdorp Panel-beaters and the other quote was done internally with a program called Audatex. I then suggested that we use a panel beater that we used before in my previous claim and thats when i was told that actually they Wrote off the car because its a code 3 car. So i urge you people, If you are insured by Oakhurst check such things. Whats sad is that the car is drivable just i would be in trouble with the law if i were to drive it sourcing out quotations.
