OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY TRIES TO DE*****

My Vehicle (A Toyota Hillux, D4D Xtra Cab) was ****** in Pankhurst on the 23rd of November 2018 while visiting a friend. I visited a friend after work whom then invited me to visit another friend at Craighall park. When we got back my car was no longer there.

I HAVE LOGGED A CLAIM WITH OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY AND THEY HAVE REJECTED MY CLAIM SITING THAT I ON THE DAY IN THE INCIDENT I WAS USING MY CAR FOR BUSINESS. I HAVE BEEN INSURED WITH OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS NOW AND HAVE NOT SKIPPED OR DELAYED AN INSTALLMENT.

I AM APPALLED AND DISGUSTED BY OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY, THEY REALLY STINK, IF THESE IS THE TYPE OF TREATMENT THEY ARE GOING TO GIVE ITS CLIENTS. I KNOW THAT INSURANCE COMPANIES ALWAYS TRY TO DE***** THEIR CLIENTS BUT OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY, IS NOW NUMBER 1 IN REJECTING CLAIM WITH SUCH INACCURATE BASIS (OR WITH NO BASIS AT) AS THEY HAVE. I URGE EVERYONE TO BE EXTRA CAREFUL WHILE DEALING WITH OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY.

I WANT OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY TO KNOW THAT I WILL STOP AT NOTHING IN GETTING THEM TO SETTLE, I WILL GO ALL THE WAY TO GET OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY TO SETTLE MY CLAIM. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED, I WOULD RATHER LOOSE ALL I HAVE WHILE MAKING SURE THAT OAKHURST INSURANCE COMPANY SETTLES THE CLAIM AND STOPS *********** ITS CLIENTS.

Dear Jack

Upon investigation of your complaint, the following was established.

You logged a claim for an incident that occurred on the 22nd November 2018.  The claim was processed, and details verified in accordance to the terms and conditions of your policy and against the reported incident details.  You reported that the insured vehicle was ****** without keys from your friend’s home where you were visiting.  You and your friend had gone out and the loss was discovered upon your return.

The telematics trip records show that the vehicle was taken from the reported address and that there is a crash sense shortly before the unit transmitted the last signal.

The tracking company responded to the crash sense signal but were not able to get hold of you.  They proceeded to contact the emergency contact person listed with them.  The emergency contact person only managed to get hold of you after the loss was discovered.

Your friend was interviewed during the claim verification, and he attested to details of the loss corroborating the details alluded to above.  He further advised that you are contracted to him to do renovations (building of a wall) in his premises where you have employees doing the work, and as such you would drive the insured vehicle to check on your employees.  He confirmed that you supervised the renovations for approximately two to three weeks. As such, we confirm that the purpose of the trip on the day of the incident was business related.

In light of the above findings, the claim was declined on the grounds that the vehicle was insured for private use but was in fact used for business, which is an exclusion on your policy.

We confirm that the outcome of the claim was in line with the terms and conditions of your policy.

Regards
